Happy Friday, Happy August!! It’s been a busy week! On Tuesday, August 4, I celebrated the 14-month anniversary of my acoustic album 🧜♀️ Siren’s Song 🧜♀️ debuting, which is amazing to realize! I’ve also been busy working on a musical side project that will be premiering in September, so stay tuned for that!! I also wanted to let you know that @Bandcamp Friday is today!! Which means, 100% of the proceeds from the profits today go to the artists themselves. Score!! If possible, please support your favorite artists online via bandcamp today! Here is the link to my album! Thank you, & enjoy! Hope everyone is staying safe, wearing masks, & social distancing. Much love to y’all! 🧜♀️🧜♀️🪕🪕 💜🧡💜🧡 xoxo
Happy 85th Birthday to the incredible Peggy Seeger, a talented songwriter, musician, and activist whom I had the pleasure of meeting 6 years ago in NYC at one of her shows. It’s rare that Ms. Seeger comes to the US, so when I heard that she was going to be doing a show in NYC, I knew what I had to do. I had the pleasure of speaking to Ms. Seeger after the show, and she was wonderful!! Her long musical career, her songwriting talents, and her music influenced me tremendously, and I was happy to listen to her share about her folk roots and musical journeys. I feel so lucky and blessed to have met her, and to top it all off, she signed my banjo that night, THE banjo that I still use and play today. It has given me incredible energy and raw power that I feel all music should have. Thank you, Peggy, for all that you’ve done, all that you continue to do, and for all the music you’ve shared. Happy Birthday!! 💚🖤💚🖤 xoxo
Hello, Folks! It’s been exactly one year (May 4, 2019) since my banjo debut album 🧜♀️ “Siren’s Song” 🧜♀️ was released into the wild! It’s been an incredible (albeit daunting!) experience to have my music out in the public, for public consumption. But it’s been great to get to share, explore new styles, collaborate with other artists, and meet other like-minded musical souls. My album is in a few music stores in California, Seattle, and Nashville. However because of the pandemic, the only way to hear my album is online. But you’re in luck! Because you can listen/buy the album on most streaming platforms! (iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, Tidal, etc) Yay!! Also, I have been blessed to work with the amazing Vanessa Gentry and Kevin D Wong on not one but TWO music videos from 🧜♀️ “Siren’s Song.” 🧜♀️We are currently working on the second video which was filmed over the past six months. Unfortunately our plans got delayed a bit in terms of releasing the video due to the pandemic, but I shall let you know more details once we get everything in order. Thank you for your patience. Once again, THANK YOU all for your love, encouragement, and support as I am extremely proud of 🧜♀️ “Siren’s Song” 🧜♀️ and all the doors that is has opened for me. I already recorded a jazz album in February (which I hope to release later this year), and I am working on a second banjo album of original songs!! Very excited to be keeping busy with all of my musical projects!! Much love to you all, and May the Fourth Be With You. Always. ❤️💛❤️💛 xoxo
Good evening, Folks!! 2020 is shaping up to be pretty spectacular so far!! I am shooting a SECOND music video from my debut album “Siren’s Song” tomorrow, and I am so excited and proud of the work done on the video thus far!! 🧜 “Siren’s Song” 🧜 came out 8 months ago today, and if you haven’t heard it or purchased it yet, please do so!! The video I’m filming tomorrow is for my song “When Will We Learn” which is a song I wrote with a heavy heart about coping with the aftermath of gun violence. It’s a beautiful song, and the video will reflect how this affects us all. Hope everyone is having a wonderful new year and being productive, finding success, and happiness; and learning, loving, and living as much as possible. Happy January!! 💙🖤💙🖤 xoxo
Well, Folks, it’s been a long road & a busy and eventful year for me. 2019 was great for many reasons!! I am thrilled to say that my debut album 🧜 “Siren’s Song” 🧜 is doing very well! My album is for sale in stores in 6 record stores in California (Boo Boo Records and Cheap Thrills in San Luis Obispo, Amoeba Music in San Francisco and Berkeley, the Musical Offerings Cafe in Berkeley, the Music Store in West Portal, SF) and 2 record stores in Seattle (Easy Street Records and Silver Platters)!! I have been slowly but surely touring and going around playing shows and promoting myself as often as possible. As an independent artist, it’s quite difficult to do everything on your own, including promotions, bookings, cold callings, as well as actual performing, and writing new material. Despite the difficulties, I have a lot planned for the next decade. I am working on a top secret album which I am recording in February (hint: 🎷🎷🎹🎹🎧🎧🎼🎼🎤🎤), and I already have a new banjo album lined up for release in 2020, which I have been steadily working on for the past few months. Everything in this game and this industry is all a matter of pacing, timing, perspective, & determination. I must say, I appreciate EVERYONE who has supported me, come out to my shows, booked me for gigs, and who has steadily been there for me as an artist, and as a person. The love I feel from my tribe and my community is amazing and unwavering, and I could not, and would not be where I am today without every single one of you. From the bottom of me heart, THANK YOU!! Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year! Let’s ring in the 2020’s in style!! 🎊🎊🎉🎉
Good afternoon, Folks! Today is the 7-month anniversary of my debut album “Siren’s Song” being released into the world! It’s been a wild year for sure!! I’m already in the process of recording another album, and I have so much on my plate. I’ve been working to book shows and get a tour going as well which has proved trickier than I anticipated, but I suppose the struggle is part of the game, right?
I have also been working on a new music video for my song “When Will We Learn” which is a song I wrote after the Las Vegas shootings, and how we need to do better as a country regarding gun control. If you haven’t heard my album, or this song, check it out. It was one of the hardest songs for me to write, but I think it will resonate with a lot of folks.
I am lucky that I have a very loving community and lots of friends & family supporting me, and I am eternally grateful that people regularly come to my shows/Farmer’s Markets/gigs and stop by & say hello! It means the world to a performer to have loved ones in the audience!! Thank you to all of you! Lots of love & peace to you this holiday season. We could all use more love in the world. ❤️💛❤️💛 xoxo
